Kimeme is an open platform for multi-objective optimization and multidisciplinary design optimization. It is intended to be coupled with external numerical software such as CAD/Computer Aided Design software, FEM/Finite Element Analysis, structural analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics tools. It has been developed by Cyber Dyne Srl and provides both a design environment for the problem definition and analysis and a software network infrastructure to distribute the computational load.

Cyber Dyne has been founded in 2011 as a research startup to transfer the knowledge of its founders in the field of numerical optimization and computational intelligence methods into a commercial product. His headquarter is located in Tecnopolis Science Park.

CI-BARIUM (Barium is the latin name of Bari town) is the social networking tool that Tecnopolis is launching on the own web site www.tecnopolispst.it for collecting business ideas born in the University labs by young researchers with the aim to create new spin-off to submit at the interest of investors, venture capital companies and equity funds. In other words, a virtual place where collective intelligence of researchers could mix with the entrepreneurship spirit of the Science Park, , before to became business opportunity, just like the metaphor of the cibarium ( an organ of some insects where food is mixed before to be metabolized).
